To protest the government’s support of increasing tanker traffic in coastal BC waters we hijacked 200,000 loonies with decals that look like an oil spill.

Every major media outlet in the country covered the story, giving our small client’s cause national attention. Thousands of Canadians signed the petition. Oil tankers were officially banned from the Northern BC coast. The loonies were part of a ROM exhibit on impactful design. And advertising award judges barely cared.

Still, it’s hands-down the campaign I’m most proud of.
